Clinton, Klobuchar rally for Franken, Oberstar at UMD

A packed gymnasium at the University of Minnesota Duluth campus welcomed New York Sen. Hillary Clinton back to Minnesota for her second rally on behalf of DFL senatorial candidate Al Franken. Less than a week ago former President Bill Clinton rallied for Franken in Minneapolis.

Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar introduced Clinton to the raucus crowd, and incumbent Rep. Jim Oberstar opened the event.

The high profile visitors signify the national importance of Minnesota’s senate race. Both Clinton and Klobuchar said Franken’s election was critical to securing a filibuster-proof majority in the U.S. Senate.
