Drinking “The Charter School Kool-Aid”

Representative John Lesch (DFL- St. Paul) tries unsuccessfully to bring additional accountability to Minnesota charter schools noting that several of the schools have been fined or have misspent taxpayer money.

Representitive Mark Buesgens (R- Jordan) who is a former charter school board member and Representative Torrey Westrom (R- Elbow Lake) get into a loud debate with Rep. Lesch.

Lesch points gives specific examples of why the new regulations are needed and notes that some of the other Representatives have been drinking “the charter school Kool-Aid.
