Gov’s “Snarky Letter” Leads To Budget Stalemate

Minnesota Speaker of the House Margaret Anderson Kelliher berates Governor Pawlenty’s stand-in during a discussion about the state’s budget bills. The Speaker makes it clear that the Governor has vetoed the only revenue bill of the session and there will not be another. Instead, she suggests the Governor must look at cutting education funding instead of increasing it as he has proposed. She also makes it clear she did not appreciate the Governor’s latest “compromise” proposal… calling it a “snarky letter” that has led to a stalemate.
