Former MN Election Head Wrong On Voting Laws

Former Minnesota Secretary of State Mary Kiffmeyer should know election law pretty well. She was in charge of administering it before she was voted out of office. Today in the legislature, now Representative Kiffmeyer says Minnesota is the only state that allows one register voter to "vouch" for an unregistered voter and register on election day. That’s wrong. To find another state that does so, you only have to cross the Minnesota border into Iowa. In Kiffmeyer’s defense, Iowa has only allowed this since Jan 1, 2008 …. which was after she left office.
