Emmer Skips MN Gubernatorial Debate On Environment

Republican candidate for Governor Tom Emmer was the subject of several attacks during Sunday’s gubernatorial candidates forum, but he wasn’t there to defend himself.  The Minnesota Republican Party endorsed Emmer on Friday.  Emmer’s cousin Steve Emmer was at the debate and said his cousin had been very busy since the endorsement, but was not sure why he was not at the debate.

DFL endorsed candidate for Governor Margaret Anderson Kelliher did attend, but had to leave about 45 minutes into the debate because of a prior commitment to be at the Powderhorn Park May Day parade.  Also attending the debate were Democrats Matt Entenza and Mark Dayton and Independence Party candidates Tom Horner and Rob Hahn.

Nuclear power was one topic that divided the candidates.  Below you’ll find the video clips organized by topic.
