Despite Primary Challengers, MN GOP Claims United Front

Dozens of Minnesota Republican candidates and leaders filed their candidacies today, followed by a meeting with reporters during a press conference at the State Office Building. The theme was MN values and a united party and new and incumbent candidates all spoke to it. Speakers included the GOP party chair and candidates for Speaker of the House, and House Majority Leader.
Despite the claim of party unity, two Republican candidates are running against the endorsed Gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer. Leslie Davis and Bob Carney Jr. say their names will be on the August primary ballot.

Minnesota Republican candidates for State Auditor, Attorney General, Secretary of State and Governor file to run and speak to the press.
