Mark Dayton On Primary Election Night

The votes from Minnesota’s St. Louis County, which includes Duluth Minnesota were the key to Mark Dayton pulling ahead of Margaret Anderson Kelliher late last night in Minnesota’s DFL Gubernatorial Primary.  Dayton led the voting in St. Louis County by about a 2-to-1 margin over Kelliher.

This morning the Minnesota’s Secretary of State reports 93.48% of the votes are counted in St. Louis County and Dayton has 56.2% of the vote to Kelliher’s 29.17%.  The Secretary of State also says the vote totals (which are all still unofficial) from Wright County are changing because of “electronic transmission problems.”  Dayton won in Wright County, but his margin was smaller there. 46.85% to 34.55%.
