Anti War Protestors Plan Ahead – And Are Denied

Minneapolis Anti War Protesters Denied Permit for DNC

The city of Minneapolis is one of the finalists bidding for the 2012 Democratic National Convention. Remembering the difficulties with the Republican National Convention in St. Paul in 2008, a coalition of anti-war groups asked the city of Minneapolis for a permit conditional on the DNC actually coming to Minneapolis.

The city refused the request with several hazy reasons.

Members of the groups gathered on the steps of Minneapolis City Hall to protest this action by the city.
