Sen Berglin: Aren’t We Glad We Have Federal Dollars Now?

Senator Linda Berglin at Special Session On Flooding Aid

Senator Linda Berglin (DFL) comments that even though Minnesota’s fiscal picture is bad with the added cost of flood disaster aid, it would be much worse if the state had rejected Federal Medicaid Assistance Percentage (FMAP) dollars that were originally opposed by Governor Tim Pawlenty. Senator Berglin notes that “almost all” of Minnesota’s Congressional delegation supported the FMAP money.

Those who voted against the money for Minnesota were Representative John Kline (R-CD2), Representative Erik Paulsen (R-CD3) and Michele Bachmann (R-CD6)
