Following his press conference — one week before the midterm elections — to encourage civic participation and to condemn voter suppression efforts, The UpTake asked Congressman Keith Ellison why we vote on Tuesdays — and not, say, on a weekend. We also asked whether voting ought to be considered a civic duty or a privilege.
