Drawing again upon it’s large pool of former candidates for Governor, the DFL Minnesota House Caucus elected Representative Paul Thissen to be it’s Minority Leader for the coming session.  Representative Thissen told the press after his election that his caucus needs to “articulate the DFL values very clearly and hold the Republican majority accountable for governance.”

Representative Thissen said his run for Governor brought him closer to all parts of Minnesota and that experience will serve him well as Minority Leader.

Earlier in the day, the DFL Senate Caucus elected Tom Bakk as Senate Minority Leader.  Senator Bakk also ran for Governor, but decided to quit his campaign after it wasn’t getting a lot of traction.
