Congressman Erik Paulsen, who represents Minnesota’s Third Congressional District, received 7,000 signed petitions from Twin Cities area workers pleading for an extension of the federal unemployment benefits that are set to expire Dec. 1. Two million people will be dropped from having jobless benefits next month if Congress doesn’t pass a jobless benefits extension in November.
Working America has about 230,000 members in Minnesota. It is the fastest growing organization in the nation for working families.
