The Mark Dayton for Minnesota Governor campaign reports that on the first day of the recount, their candidate increased his lead over Republican candidate Tom Emmer by 177 votes. If true, that would give Dayton a 8,947 vote lead. This is more than what the Secretary of State totals show, however the State’s report is missing several counties that missed the daily reporting deadline. The Dayton totals count 48.4% of the vote, the Secretary of State’s totals show 44.7% of the vote recounted. 66 of the state’s 87 counties have finished recounting according to the Dayton campaign.
