Dayton Sets Signing Medicaid Expansion As First Order Of Business

The UpTake will carry live Governor Mark Dayton’s signing of the expansion of early Medicaid on Tuesday.

St. Paul, MN – On Tuesday, January 4th, Governor-elect Mark Dayton will make signing an Executive Order expanding the state’s Medicaid program one of his first orders of business. Dayton will sign the Order in the Rotunda of the State’s Capitol at 9:30am. The public is welcome to attend, and Dayton will offer brief remarks.

Expanding the state’s Medicaid program will have an immediate effect on Minnesota, providing new or improved health care coverage to over 95,000 Minnesotans, and retaining 20,000 health care related jobs.
