The day after the 2012 Democratic National Convention was awarded to Charlotte, North Carolina, and not Minneapolis, among other finalists, The UpTake interviewed Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak about the DNC and other conventions and sports events that Minnesota’s largest city hopes to land, Target Center renovations, why Minneapolis is the best biking city in America, state politics with a new Democratic governor and a Republican-controlled House and Senate, and the demonstrations in Egypt.

Jacob Wheeler
