Wisconsin Democratic Assembly member Kelda Helen Roys was furious about the Republican state House’s lightning passing of Gov. Scott Walker’s union-busting “budget repair bill” at 1 a.m. Friday morning without informing their Democratic counterparts that a vote was taking place. Later that day, The UpTake’s Oliver Dykstra talked with Rep. Roys about the late-night vote, her thoughts on the prank Koch call to Gov. Walker, and what the Assembly’s role is now.
The UpTake also spoke to Kelda Helen Roys and other orange t-shirt clad Democratic Wisconsin Assembly members a week earlier, outside Madison’s the Great Dane.
