Madison Firefighters are starting a movement encouraging people to move their money from M & I bank and other institutions that support Governor Scott Walker. On Thursday members of the union withdrew close to $200,000 from the bank. Executives of M&I Bank have donated the legal maximum to Walker’s election campaign. For example, M&I’s Senior Vice President Mark R. Hogan donated 5,000 dollars to Walker’s campaign. M&I says the donations are from employees and not from the bank’s funds.
This morning Walker signed a law that would strip public workers of most of their collective bargaining rights.
