Wisconsin State Senator Chris Larson, a member of the “Wisconsin 14”, told TheUpTake’s Tracey Pollock that, at first, he and his colleagues believed whispers that Gov. Scott Walker would seek to eliminate collective bargaining rights for public sector employees were mere rumors. Walker hadn’t campaigned on that pledge, and the move seemed too extreme. Yet, says Larson, when the details of Walker’s push emerged, it became clear that this had come straight from union-hating corporations that funded Walker’s campaign, and that the governor was merely a puppet.
