Despite the House of Representatives’ threats to repeal the Affordable Care Act, on the one-year anniversary of the passage of Health Care Reform, Congressman Keith Ellison told The UpTake that he doesn’t believe the GOP has the political muster to overturn the legislation in Washington, D.C. Saying that Democrats need to keep fighting to improve Health Care, Ellison drew a parallel between today’s imperfect legislation and that of the original Civil Rights Act, which was strengthened in subsequent years after its initial passage in 1964.
