US Commander Condemns Quran Burning As “Hateful”

Patraeus

The top U.S. and NATO Commander in Afghanistan General David Patraeus spoke out Sunday against Florida pastor Terry Jone’s burning of the Holy Quran last month. The action sparked violence protest and death in Afghanistan.
“We condemn the action of an individual in the United States who burned a holy Quran. That action was hateful, intolerant and it was extremely disrespectful. And again we condemn it in the strongest manner possible,” said Patraeus.
