Jesse Jackson Invokes MLK’s Name For Workers’ Rights

Jesse Jackson saw firsthand how Martin Luther King, Jr. fought for rights such as collective bargaining. Now 43 years to the day after King’s death, Jackson says the battle is being fought again. This time instead of Memphis, Tennessee where King was assassinated, the battleground is Madison, Wisconsin where workers’ rights such as collective bargaining are under attack from Republican Governor Scott Walker and the Republican controlled legislature.
