St. Paul, MN. May 19, 2011. The second floor if the state capitol in front of the House of Representatives chamber was jammed with conflicting rallies on the proposed defense of marriage amendment to the state constitution. Loud chanting lots of signs. The main entrance to the chamber was blocked so the Minnesota State Patrol escorted the representatives into the side entrance to the chamber.
