“Free the world from Israel” said one protester.

A vocal mixture of people from The Coalition for Palestinian Rights, AWC (Association of World Citizens), WAMM(Women Against Military Madness) Mideast Committee and IJAN (International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network) rallied in front of the Minneapolis Hilton, June 29, 2011 to protest the Minnesota AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) meeting.

The main speaker was Elliot Abrams, a controversial neocon from the Reagan and George H.W. Bush presidencies.

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton attended the event.

AIPAC is arguably the most powerful lobby in Washington and it is criticized by many peace activists and by many Jews for what is seen as an extreme Zionist force.
