Minnesota State Fair goers are getting educated on an issue they won’t vote on for more than a year — marriage equality.

At the DFL booth speakers talked about the need to defeat an anti-gay amendment that is on the 2012 November election ballot.

Minnesota State Senator Scott Dibble, Winning Marriage Equality Executive Director Denny Smith, Project 515 Executive Director Ann Kaner-Roth and OutFront Minnesota Executive Director Monica Meyer spoke on a panel in support of marriage equality at the DFL Party booth at the Minnesota State Fair on Aug. 29.

A coalition of 60 groups are ramping up a huge campaign to oppose a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage, which state Republicans put on the 2012 ballot.
