A bill that would take public funds from under performing schools and allow students to use the money to attend a private school gets approval from the Minnesota Senate Education committee. The proposal was part of a package that Governor Mark Dayton vetoed last year.
Kevin McHenry of the Department of Education advised against the bill saying there’s no way to know if the private school performs better than the public school because there’s not enough data on the private schools.
