An anti-union constitutional amendment appears stranded in the Minnesota legislaturure because Republican backers can’t get enough support says Senate Majority Leader David Senjem.
The bill has had only one committee hearing and passed by just a single vote.
More Republicans have been coming out against the “right to work” bill as union pressure mounts. This past week more than 1,000 union supporters turned out for the hearing on the bill. They stood outside the hearing chamber and chanted “kill the bill” and “just vote no” so loud that it sometimes drowned out the voices of those testifying for the bill.
