Senator Mike Parry (R) calls Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton “irrational” and union leaders “dinosaurs” after Republicans vote 6-4 to reject a contract with unionized state employees. Senator Parry made the comments in a news conference that followed his committee’s vote.

During that committee hearing, Representative Leon Lillie (DFL) argued that state employees should be given the 2% raise that the unions have negotiated with Governor Mark Dayton. In the video you can see Senator Parry ignoring Representative Ryan Winkler (DFL) attempt to continue debating the issue and he takes the vote.
