MoveOn Thank You At Sen Franken's Office In St. Paul

Minnesota MoveOn members joined a nationwide, “Thank you,” to Democratic Senators for their efforts to get a hearing for President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland. This was in contrast to the usual protest demonstrations staged at the offices of elected officials.

The group rallied outside Senator Franken’s St. Paul office and were invited in by Charles Sutton, Aide for Judicial Issues. They presented a signed card for the senator.

Last week Franken told Senate Republicans that their refusal to hold a hearing on Judge Garland’s nomination was “absurd,” and called for them to refrain from obstructionism.
