Live All Day- Battle for Labor’s Survival Attracts Tens of Thousands to Madison


More than 50,000 demonstrators, teachers, tradesmen and public sector employees are expected to converge on the Wisconsin State Capitol today from all over the Midwest — in an Egypt-like effort to stop upstart Republican Governor Scott Walker’s effort to gut organized labor. Wisconsin was the first state in the union where public-sector employees received collective bargaining rights, in 1959.
