Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton travels to Rochester and Albert Lea to discuss with residents what’s at stake in the state budget. Most of Minnesota’s government is shutdown since no budget agreement has been reached between Governor Dayton and Republican legislative leaders. In Rochester, Governor Dayton will hears directly from individuals with disabilities, seniors and caregivers about the impact of the proposed GOP budget cuts to health care, especially to services that enable seniors and disabled adults to live independently. He is joined by Commissioner of Human Services, Lucinda Jesson.
At 4:30pm, Governor Dayton will participate in a group discussion on the budget with the Albert Lea Economic Development Agency.
