With the election just six days away, Minnesota gubernatorial candidates Mark Dayton (Democratic-Farm-Labor) and Tom Horner (Independence Party) participatein an IT forum at the Marriott hotel in Minnetonka.
Minnesota has long been a national leader in technology, and the IT community drives the economy in this state. One of the fastest computers in the world was built right in Rochester. Economists agree that over the last 40 years, some of the greatest economic gains have come through IT innovations, and when factoring in the current fiscal challenges we face, it is clear we must leverage technology’s full potential moving forward. The candidates are expected to share their visions on how technology can be used to produce jobs, grow our economy and allow government to better serve the citizens of Minnesota.
