Minnesota’s House Civil Law committee on a party line 10-7 votes approves a proposal for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Last week the same proposal had a hearing in the Senate Judiciary committee and attracted overflow crowds to testify. The Senate bill also passed along a strictly party line vote.
