The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) holds a gubernatorial forum in Duluth as part of its annual conference. Democratic-Farm-Labor candidate Mark Dayton and Independence Party candidate Tom Horner participate, but not Republican Tom Emmer. This debate is just 25 days before the Nov. 2 election. Dayton and Horner address the year’s largest gathering of nonprofits and their policy priorities, their intentions for working with the nonprofit sector and their vision for how Minnesota can thrive in this difficult economic and political landscape. Keesha Gaskins, executive director of the League of Women Voters of Minnesota, guides the session.
