Senator Amy Klobuchar debated her Republican opponent for the first time outside of the Twin Cities on Tuesday. The debate was co-hosted by the Duluth News Tribune and the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce and was held at the Duluth Playhouse.

Klobuchar and Bills were asked questions by the Duluth News Tribune’s Chuck Frederick and the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce’s Roger Wedin before a live audience.

After the debate, US Senator Amy Klobuchar talks to The UpTake’s Mike McIntee. She reacts to her Bill’s statement that temporary tax cuts like the one passed during the Bush administration are bad policy. Klobuchar also comments on a bill she is drafting with Senator Al Franken that would swap out land in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area
