FBI Raid Victims Find Sympathetic Ears at Klobuchar Office By Bill Sorem | October 19, 2010 LikeTweet EmailPrint More More on Minnesota Subscribe to Minnesota For the third week in a row, Twin Cities activists rallied in support of the targets of the Sept. 24 FBI raids. This time they gathered in front of US Senator Amy Klobuchar’s office in downtown Minneapolis. A delegation representing the targets and other peace groups met with two of the Senator’s local staff members and a third on a conference call in Washington D.C. Staff thanked the delegation and said this was the first time they were aware of the details of the raid and the human cost represented by this action. Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer, respected St. Thomas University Professor and candidate for the 2008 DFL Senate endorsement said, “We don’t expect Amy to share in all the beliefs of the people here today. What’s at stake is much more troubling.” Support this story and all the stories from The Uptake. Donate.
