Minnesota Teachers Face Salary Freeze

On a 9-7 vote, the Minnesota Senate Education Committee advanced a plan Tuesday, January 25th, that would establish a two-year salary freeze on school district employees. Speaking in favor of the bill is Sen. Dave Thompson, R-Lakeville, author of the bill, and Senate Education Chair Gen Olson, R-Minnetrista. Speaking against the motion is Senate Assistant DFL Caucus Leader Terri Bonoff.
