DFL Chair Ken Martin Previews Gov. Dayton’s Budget By Michael McIntee | February 14, 2011 LikeTweet EmailPrint More More on Economy/Jobs Subscribe to Economy/Jobs Follow this author Governor Mark Dayton’s budget won’t be out until tomorrow, but DFL Party Chair Ken Martin already knows the message the budget contains. “Mark Dayton is keeping his promises”, Martin told a gathering of party faithful in Eagan yesterday. The DFL chair said that the Governor will keep his promise to increase funding for education, lower property taxes around the state, find a solution to this $6.3 billion problem that’s fair and balanced — and not on the backs of the most vulnerable in this state, or its middle class. “We need all of you to be evangelists over the next week to make sure that we push back on these Republicans and help sell the Governor’s budget plan,” were Martin’s closing remarks.
