Raucous After Walker’s Refusal to Budge, Wisconsin Protesters Shake Hands with Police

The protests reached a crescendo in the Wisconsin State Capitol yesterday, during and immediately after Gov. Scott Walker’s press conference, at which he refused to budge an inch on calls for labor rights. After facing off with police just down the hall from Walker’s office, demonstrators high-fived and shook hands with police, as a dramatic week in Madison, Wisconsin, remained peaceful.
