Democrat Jim Graves fell a few thousand votes of unseating Bachmann. As the race went past midnight, it appeared Graves had a chance of winning. Ken Martin, the Chair of Minnesota’s Democratic party predicted victory saying the remaining precincts to be counted are expected to favor Graves. Martin’s prediction did not hold true.
