New, From The UpTake: LIVE VIDEO On Your Mobile Phone By admin | May 8, 2013 LikeTweet EmailPrint More More on Minnesota Subscribe to Minnesota Now on your smartphone, live video from The UpTake Now on your smartphone, live UpTake video from the Minnesota Legislature As the Minnesota Legislature heads into its final days, important decisions are about to be made, including historic votes on same-sex marriage. You’ll want to know what’s happening — as it happens — no matter where you are. And The UpTake has the solution for you: Our live video coverage of the legislature is now available on your mobile smart phone. Our Minnesota Senate channel and our Minnesota House channel are now being encoded so that most mobile phones can see them. We had to rebuild our entire streaming system at the Minnesota Capitol to do this — something we couldn’t have done without your support. If you appreciate The UpTake’s continuing efforts to give you access to the decision making process, please consider making a contribution to that work. If you have trouble getting this to work on your smartphone, please let us know. We recommend having a strong cell phone signal or Wi-Fi connection. Please be sure you have that when trying this out. With great power comes great responsibility. Don’t watch our live video while driving or while walking across the street. Instead, please watch while thinking about the role of an informed citizenry in a democratic society. That’s where you come in. And The UpTake, too. Our legislative video channels will still look great on your desktop and laptop where you can keep up to date on the latest Minnesota legislative Twitter chatter as you watch the live video. If you have suggestions for how we can improve The UpTake’s service, please let us know. And thank you for your support! — Michael McIntee, Executive Producer Support this story and all the stories from The Uptake. Donate.
