Former Minnesota Congressman and legislator Martin Sabo is praised by Senators Scott Dibble and Ann Rest on the Minnesota Senate floor Monday. Sabo died this weekend at the age of 78. The Senate observed a moment of silence in his honor.
A few hours later more accolades for Sabo in the House where he served as Minority Leader and Speaker before he was elected to Congress. Minority Leader Paul Thissen, Rep. Mary Murphy, Rep. Lyndon Carlson Sr., Rep. Phyllis Kahn and Rep Frank Hornstein offered stories and remembrances of Sabo. The House then honored him with a moment of silence.
