This year’s John R. Finnegan Freedom of Information Award recipient is Chris Serres of the Star Tribune, for his use of requested government data in his series of reports on abuse in senior care facilities in Minnesota.
The Minnesota Coalition on Government Information (MNCOGI) will also present its Lifetime Achievement Award to Paul Hannah for his distinguished career in law, and in particular for his role in several court cases as a defender and advocate of freedom of access to government information in Minnesota.
