Poll: Not All Smoke Is The Same- MN Split On Legal Pot, E-Cigs Need Regulation

A poll that many Minnesota lawmakers pay close attention to finds Minnesotans split over the issue of legalizing recreational use of marijuana with 43.3% favoring and 48.1% against. The Minnesota House nonscientific poll of 7,607 State Fair attendees also found that an overwhelming number of those polled (66.4%) want to see e-cigarettes regulated just like regular cigarettes.

MN “Restriction” Amendments Defeated

Two proposed Minnesota constitutional amendments aimed at boosting the Republican turnout backfired horribly on Tuesday night. Not only did they both lose, but they may have inspired a large Democratic turnout that swept Republicans out of power in both chambers of the legislature.
