Afterward, at 2:30, they’ll speak to the media.

Today’s UpTake: Dayton Makes the Rounds in D.C.

Minnesota Governor-Elect Mark Dayton is in the nation’s capital today, making the rounds. Dayton will meet with Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken, attend a “Mark Dayton for a Better Minnesota Campaign Committee” fundraiser at the home of Patrick Murphy, and grace a holiday party at the White House where he’ll schmooze with President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

Today’s UpTake: All Recount Eyes on Hennepin

Tom Emmer’s team increased their challenging of ballots in Hennepin County yesterday, so much that Plymouth, Minn. clerk Sandy Engdahl got into a heated argument with Emmer attorney Tony Trimble over whether the trailing team had a quota of challenges to file per precinct. And now GOP chair Tony Sutton has fueled rumors that the Republicans will file a post-recount lawsuit.
