Occupy Wins Home For Vet, Fights for Home in North Minneapolis

The Occupy Homes movement is celebrating ex-Marine Bobby Hull’s successfully renegotiated mortgage in South Minneapolis after defending his house for three months and gaining national media attention along the way.

But after Monday’s celebration they were back on Tuesday in North Minneapolis, rallying to keep Monique White from being evicted from her home.
White, a single African-American mother working two jobs, has a court date on Friday and faces an imminent eviction.
Activist Ben Egerman was arrested during Tuesday’s protest outside U.S. Bank in North Minneapolis. Occupy Homes has planned protests throughout this week.
